Introduction
Xanthodes Guenée was treated in the Chloeophorinae by Edwards (1996). The genus is placed in the Bagisarinae as originally suggested originally by Crumb (1956) and then by Kobes (1997) and Holloway (1998, 2009, 2011) with strong support from the analysis of Zahiri et al. (2011).
