Type data:
Holotype USNM ♂ (coll.: H. Hacker), Dunk Island, Queensland.
Introduction
This species is closely related to W. caprilesi Webb with only colour differences and minor genitalia differences separating the two species, both of which are known from Dunk Island in the wet tropics of North Queensland. This species is only known from Dunk Island while W. caprilesi is also known from the mainland.
