   Holotype BMNH female, 'Taken from the mouth of an Australian snake (Austrelaps ( = Hoplocephalus) superbus) which died lately in the Zoological Society's Gardens, Regent Park' [London].

   Austrelaps superbus (Günther, 1858) [Elapidae]
