Introduction
Four families, Armilliferidae, Sebekidae, Porocephalidae and Sambonidae, are known to occur in Australia. A fifth, Subtriquetridae Fain, 1961, is known only from American crocodilians. See Order Porocephalida for a discussion of authorship of this name.
Diagnosis
Males with a single testis.
