[274-275] [Thomson & Simpson identified their material as Gorgonella granulata Esper, but admitted that there was little detail of the characteristics of Esper's material. Kükenthal (1924) gives Gorgonella granulata Thomson & Simpson, 1909 as the synonym and is presumably referring to the two colonies described by these authors.].
