Species Venonia micarioides (L. Koch, 1877)

  • Type data:

    Syntype(s) ZMH MGN 14624, cat 84 adult, Port Mackay, QLD [21°10′S 149°14′E]; BMNH 1919.9.18.1384 adult, Bowen, Qld [20°00′S 148°14′E]
Comment: Original description based on two syntypes, erroneously reported as female holotype and male "paratypoid" by Rack (1961). Lehtinen and Hippa (1979) attributed lectotype designation to Rack (1961). Yoo & Framenau (2006) revert to the orginal descriptor of syntypes, followed here, and give a repository for the previously lost male.
