Holotype AM ♂ (coll.: 4.xi.1971, J.G. Brooks), Cairns, Queensland.
Introduction
This attractive species is only known from the type locality in the wet tropics of North Queensland.

Ecological Descriptors
All stages: phloem feeder.
Diagnosis
Dorsal surface pale olive brown; face black; crown, pronotum, scutellum and tegmen pale olive brown. Male genitalia: pygophore deeply roundly emarginate; aedeagus W-shaped, two distal extensions considerably larger than proximal one. Length ♂ 6.5 mm, ♀ 7.5 mm (Evans 1981).
