Introduction

Umbilidelos mcilwraith is the largest of the Umbilidelos species. It is distinguished from Saladelos commixta by the lack of spiral grooves on the upper surface and in having a smooth protoconch.

Litter-dwelling, rainforest, under logs.

 

Diagnosis

Shell medium-sized, dark yellow, subglobose with a low domed spire, shiny; body whorl evenly coiled; protoconch shiny, smooth, teleoconch sculpture of low growth ridges and weak spiral striae above, underside smooth; umbilicus very wide, cup-shaped; diameter 10.5mm.
