Introduction
Umbilidelos differs from Macrodelos by the combination of very shiny shell with very wide cup-shaped umbilicus, less flared body whorl and impressed sutures. The genus differs from Saladelos by the lack of spiral grooves on the upper surface and in having a smooth protoconch.

Diagnosis
Shell small to medium-sized, shiny, subdiscoidal to subglobose, with flat to low domed spire, evenly coiled body whorl and impressed sutures; protoconch shiny and smooth, teleoconch sculpture of weak curved radial ribs and very weak to vague, occasionally branched, spiral striae above, shiny below; umbilicus very wide, cup-shaped. Colour creamy-yellow to yellow, sometimes with darker reddish radial streaks.
