Introduction

This genus and the sole Australian representative is unknown to the compiler. Elsewhere, the genus is distributed from New Caledonia to Mauritius with one species in North America but whether these are all congeneric requires a taxonomic revision of the genus. In Australia, one species is known from SE Queensland.

Diagnosis

Body compressed; frons longer than wide, with lateral margins rounded to the clypeus, normally tricarinate; vertex subquadrate with lateral margins more or less elevated; tegmina vertical with claval suture distinct; apex of tegmen broadly rounded, wide, slightly oblique; hindwings present, entire; hind tibiae two-spined (Stål 1861, translated from Latin).
