Proceedings of the Royal Society of Victoria 96(2): 93-97 figs 1-3 [93, fig. 1] [genus name is a Greek word transliterated into Latin and under Article 30.1.2 of the ICZN is treated as feminine and hence species name must also be treated as feminine].

Holotype NMV A.3281, West Branch of King River, VIC.
Paratype(s) AM I.24351–001; NMV A.3282.
Introduction
Genetic studies (Hammer et al 2014, Unmack, et al. 2017) have suggested that additional species exist within the genus and the present classification is tentative.

Extra Distribution Information
Found north of the Great Dividing Range from the ACT, south-eastern NSW and north-eastern Victoria; in NSW and ACT occurs in lower-altitude streams of Murray River above Lake Hume; temperate.
