Introduction

This species is endemic to the arid regions of southern Western Australia. Webb (1983) misspelled the name as "T. various". The species is unknown to the compiler.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Head ventral surface yellow, eyes dark brown, ocelli red, hind margin of the frontoclypeus brown. Crown wider in the centre than against the eyes, yellow suffused with brown medially and with two round black markings. Pronotum brownish grey. Scutellum yellow with two triangular brown markings close to the centre; muscle impressions black. Tegmen hyaline, partially suffused with brown; veins dark brown. Thorax and abdomen ventral surface yellow, legs brown. Length 4 mm (Evans 1942).

This species can be distinguished from T. grandis by its smaller size and usually by being more heavily marked with brown (Webb 1983).
