Introduction
Prudhoe (1982) redescribed this species from new material collected from South Australia.
The species (and by extent, genus, as it is monotypic), was moved to the Pseudostylochidae from the Ilyplanidae by Rodríguez et al. (2021), on basis of genetic analyses.
