Ecological Descriptors
Marine (host(s): Lybia [XANTHIDAE] Boxer crab).
Diagnosis
Pedal disc well developed. Column to 60 mm long, cylindrical. Mid-column has single whorl of pseudotentacles with vesicles attached. Tentacles rather short, in three cycles (12+12+24=48). Ectoderm colourless; pale brown endoderm visible, particularly dense in pseudotentacles, colour due to endodermal zooxanthellae. May be one of the species involved in the symbiosis with crabs of the genus Lybia that hold small sea anemones in modified chelae.
