Torresiropa spaldingi is distinguished by the combination of peripheral keel, very wide umbilicus and sculpture of coarse radial ribs on the teleoconch.

Ecological Descriptors

Under litter, under rocks, vine thicket.

 

Diagnosis

Shell small, dull tawny-yellow to pale pinkish-brown, trochoidal to depressedly turbinate, body whorl periphery strongly angular with ridge or keel, sutures deeply impressed, spire domed; protoconch with curved radial ridges, teleoconch sculpture of strong coarse, regular radial ribs; umbilicus extremely wide, U-shaped; diameter 5.5mm.
