Diagnosis
[Male] "Noir, metasternum ocre brun. Sur les élytres, fréquemment au début du tiers postérieur dans la cellule costale, une petite tache claire plus ou moins hyaline. [female] plus pâle, brun plus ou moins fortement noirâtre pouvant être ocre brun' la petite tache hyaline des élytres est fréquemment plus grande que chez le [male] et peut même s'étendre sur une grande partie de la corie. Lames latérales des [male] assez longues, en pince de crabbe, redressées vers le haut." (Lallemand 1954)
Length male, female, 4-7.1 mm. General coloration brown, dark brown or black. Crown brown or black, or frons black and vertex brown. Pronotum black, brown or entirely black, posteriorly brown. Scutellum always black. Tegmen with anterior and posterior areas of whitish pubescence and sometimes with a small or large whitish hyaline area against the costal margin.
