Diagnosis

Length 2.3-2.8 mm. Body with setae aciculate, decumbent. Head with lateral setose sulci evenly curved dorsally from clypeal base to meet between eyes, extending posteriorly to head base as median sulcus; eyes large, just over half head length, reaching nearly to head base. Pronotum granulo-punctate, with deep median longitudinal sulcus, pronotal disc with pair of short tubercles extending over antebasal sulcus at intersection with median longitudinal sulcus; area around lateral antebasal foveae with squamous setae extending slight distance laterally in transverse sulcus and posteriorly to base in short median longitudinal basal sulcus; lateral antebasal foveae obscured by squamous setae, with squamous setae in lateral foveae extending posterolaterally to pronotal margins, slightly anteriorly into lateral antebasal sulci, and slightly medially into antebasal sulcus, most of antebasal sulcus glabrous. Elytra evenly setose, basal foveae obscured by squamous setae, with apical fringe of thick setae. Thorax with mesopleural sulcus from lateral mesocoxal foveae to near elytra broadly and densely setose. Visible abdominal tergites 1-4 (IV-VII) with deep basal sulci filled with squamous setae; visible sternites 2-5 (IV-VII) with deep basal sulci filled with squamous setae, 5 (VII) with squamous setae briefly lacking at middle. Profemora broadly angulate on anteroventral faces, mesofemora with similar angulations on posteroventral faces, angulations each bearing two to three spines. Male eyes with about 100 facets; with eight antennomeres, antennomeres III-V short and transverse, antennomeres IV-V only visible in ventral view, covered dorsally by portion VI, segments VI-VIII elongate, VI and VIII longest, subequal, VI broadly and shallowly constricted in apical halves.
Female eyes with about 85 facets; with nine antennomeres segments, II-VI transverse, VII-IX longer and slightly broader to form clubs, IX about as long as previous two combined.
