Introduction

Terrycarlessia bullacea differs from the sympatric Griffithsina brisbanica by having finer radial ribs and much more prominent spiral striae on the teleoconch. Animal orange-brown with fairly broad pale orange dorsal stripe edged with black.

Diagnosis

Shell medium-sized, glossy greenish-yellow with irregular darker radial streaks, subglobose to globosely turbinate with a domed spire; protoconch with low curved radial ridges and fine spiral striae, teleoconch sculpture of fine crowded ribs and numerous spiral striae; umbilicus narrow, V-shaped; diameter 22.5mm.
