Ecological Descriptors

Adult: diurnal, florivore (associated flora: Angophora hispida (Sm.) Blaxell [MYRTACEAE] Dwarf Apple (on flowers); Leptospermum morrisonii Joy Thomps. [MYRTACEAE] (on flowers)), volant.

Larva: wood-borer (associated flora: Allocasuarina littoralis (Salisb.) L.A.S.Johnson [CASUARINACEAE] Black She-Oak; Allocasuarina verticillata (Lam.) L.A.S.Johnson [CASUARINACEAE] Drooping She-Oak; Allocasuarina torulosa (Aiton) L.A.S.Johnson [CASUARINACEAE] Forest She Oak).

Extra Ecological Information

Hawkeswood & Peterson (1982) reported this species' larvae from Casuarina torulosa; Williams & Williams (1983) recorded this species from Angophora hispida; Hawkeswood (1988) summarized French's (1909) earlier account of possible hosts and predators and recorded Casuarina stricta as a larval host.
