Ecological Descriptors

Adult: diurnal, florivore (associated flora: Bursaria spinosa Cav. [PITTOSPORACEAE] Boxthorn (on flowers); Eucalyptus oleosa F.Muell. ex. Miq. [MYRTACEAE] Giant Mallee (on flowers); Eucalyptus paniculata Sm. [MYRTACEAE] Grey Ironbark (on flowers); Leptospermum sp. [MYRTACEAE] Tea-tree (on flowers)), volant.

Larva: wood-borer.

Extra Ecological Information

Cowie (2001) recorded this species from blossoms of Leptospermum sp. and Bursaria spinosa.
