Ecological Descriptors

Adult: diurnal, florivore (associated flora: Eucalyptus sp. [MYRTACEAE] Gum Tree (on foliage)), volant.

Larva: wood-borer (associated flora: Eucalyptus amplifolia Naudin [MYRTACEAE] Cabbage Gum; Eucalyptus tereticornis Sm. [MYRTACEAE] Forest Red Gum; Eucalyptus sp. [MYRTACEAE] Gum Tree; Eucalyptus punctata DC. [MYRTACEAE] Leather Jacket).

Extra Ecological Information

Hawkeswood & Peterson (1982) recorded this species emerging from Eucalyptus amplifolia, E. tereticornis and specimens being cut from at least two Eucalyptus spp.
