Extra Distribution Information
This species has been recovered from a wide region, being found throughout Queensland freshwater systems; it is, however, nearly always associated with the frehwater prawn, Macrobrachium australiense Holthius, 1950, and was only recovered once from specimens of M. tolmerum Riek, 1951, near Cairns (Cannon 1993). Distributional records include: Cairns, north Queensland; Barcaldine, Queensland; Longreach, Queensland; Kuranda, Queensland; near Carbeen, north Queensland; Edmonton, Queensland; Paluma, Queensland; Townsville, Queensland; Upper Cedar Creek, southeast Queensland; Highvale, southeast Queensland; Moggill Creek and various creeks, Brisbane, southeast Queensland.
