Introduction
Berlese's description of this genus is headed "GEN. TEGEOGRANELLUS N. GEN.". The description of the genus is immediately followed by data on "Tegeocranellus personatus Berl.". The genus name is clearly derived from the related genus Tegeocranus, and Tegeocranellus has been used in subsequent publications, so I maintain this spelling in the interests of stability and universality, and consider Tegeogranellus to be a typographical error.
