Introduction

Tasmaphena ruga is characterised by strong radial ribs and a wide umbilicus. Generally confined to dier forests and not sympatric with other Tasmaphena species (K. Bonham, Unpublished PhD thesis, University of Tasmania, 2003) .

Diagnosis

Shell small, pale yellowish to dark amber, subdiscoidal with flattened spire; teleoconch sculpture of coarse radial ribs above, smooth below with concave base; umbilicus wide, U-shaped; diameter to 10mm.
