Helix sinclairi Pfeiffer, 1845 by original designation.
Introduction
Tasmaphena is a genus of small to medium-sized rhytidids largely endemic to Tasmania. The species currently assigned to the genus have been placed here largely on the basis of gross shell characters and need to be confirmed by detailed taxonomic studies (J. Stanisic, pers. comm.)

Diagnosis
Shell small to medium-sized, discoidal to subdiscoidal with flat to low-domed spire, whorls rounded, usually flared at end of last whorl; protoconch smooth with radial ripples at suture, teleoconch sculpture of prominent coarse regular to irregular radials above, smooth or weaker below; umbilicus wide, U-shaped. Colour yellow to reddish-brown with spiral bands in one species.
