Mabille, P. 1904. Lepidoptera Rhopalocera. Fam. Hesperidae. Genera Insectorum 17: 1-210, pls 1-4 (1903-1904) [141] (Mabille referred to it as Padraona rectivitta and gave Celebes as the type locality); Fruhstorfer, H. 1910. Neue Hesperiden des Indo-Malayischen Faunengebietes und Besprechung verwandter Formen. Deutsche Entomologische Zeitschrift Iris 24(3–5): 58-104 [96] (referred to it as Taractrocera rectivitta and noted that the species was described as coming from Celebes but that Mabille's specimens are labelled Australia); Lower, O.B. 1911. Revision of the Australian Hesperiadae. Transactions of the Royal Society of South Australia 35: 112-172 [150] (referred to it as Ocybadistes rectivitta and indicated that the type locality was Celebes and suggested that the types were probably in the Staudinger collection, BSM); Waterhouse, G.A. 1937. Australian Hesperiidae. VII. Notes on the types and type localities. Proceedings of the Linnean Society of New South Wales 62(3–4): 107-125 [122] (considered a Mabille specimen in BMNH labelled 'P. rectivitta P. Mb. Nov. Holl.' to be the probable holotype); Evans, W.H. 1949. A Catalogue of the Hesperiidae from Europe, Asia and Australia in the British Museum (Natural History). London : British Museum xix 502 pp. 53 pls. [370] (gave Australia as the type locality for rectivitta, indicated a male type specimen was in BMNH, and incorrectly gave the date as 1877; Evans' application of the name implied that the Celebes locality was incorrect). - Padraona tanus nola Waterhouse, G.A. 1932. New genera of Australian Hesperiidae and a new subspecies. The Australian Zoologist 7(3): 198-201 [201].
