Holotype MNHP juvenile ♂ (Lehtinen (1967: 265) states that " the holotype was described as a juvenile male, but the full-grown palpus is only covered by the integument of the former molt stage"), Tasmania

Extra Distribution Information
Eastern Australia from Tasmania northwards to south-eastern Queensland; only at higher altitudes in northern parts of range. Introduced to New Zealand.
