Adult: diurnal, florivore (associated flora: Angophora hispida (Sm.) Blaxell [MYRTACEAE] Dwarf Apple; Melaleuca linariifolia Sm. [MYRTACEAE] Flax-leaved Paperbark; Eucalyptus spp. [MYRTACEAE] Gum Trees; Angophora bakeri E.C.Hall [MYRTACEAE] Narrow-Leaved Apple; Leptospermum trinervium (Sm.) Joy Thomps. [MYRTACEAE] Paperbark Teatree; Leptospermum flavescens Sm. [MYRTACEAE] Tantoon; Leptospermum spp. [MYRTACEAE] Tea-trees; Kunzea ambigua (Sm.) Druce [MYRTACEAE] Tick Bush; Baeckea stenophylla F.Muell. Larva: wood-borer.

Extra Ecological Information

Williams (1977) recorded this species from flowers of Leptospermum flavescens (Myrtaceae) which was confirmed by Hawkeswood (1978), Williams & Williams (1983) recorded this species from Angophora hispida and Leptospermum sp., Hawkeswood (1987) added Baeckea stenophylla (Myrtaceae), and Hawkeswood (1991) recorded it from Leptospermum phylicoides and Melaleuca linearifolia.
