Ecological Descriptors

Adult: diurnal, florivore (associated flora: [ASTERACEAE] Giant Yellow Everlasting; Eucalyptus spp. [MYRTACEAE] Gum Trees; Leptospermum spp. [MYRTACEAE] Tea-trees; Agonis spp. [MYRTACEAE]; Hakea spp. [PROTEACEAE]; Melaleuca spp. [MYRTACEAE]), volant.

Larva: wood-borer (associated flora: Agonis flexuosa (Willd.) Sweet [MYRTACEAE] Peppermint; Leptospermum spp. [MYRTACEAE] Tea-trees; Melaleuca spp. [MYRTACEAE]).

Extra Ecological Information

McMillan (1952) reported adults from Leptospermum and some species of Hakea, and Hawkeswood & Peterson (1982) cited that the larvae breed in Melaleuca and Leptospermum.
