Note that conversion of the original AFD map of states, drainage basins and coastal and oceanic zones to IBRA and IMCRA regions may have produced errors. The new maps will be reviewed and corrected as updates occur. The maps may not indicate the entire distribution. See further details below.

Ecological Descriptors

Adult: diurnal, florivore (associated flora: Chamelaucium uncinatum Schauer [MYRTACEAE] Geraldton Wax; Agonis flexuosa (Willd.) Sweet [MYRTACEAE] Peppermint; Leptospermum sp. [MYRTACEAE] Tea-tree), volant.

Larva: wood-borer (associated flora: Agonis flexuosa (Willd.) Sweet [MYRTACEAE] Peppermint; Agonis sp. [MYRTACEAE]).

Extra Ecological Information

Whitlock's (1947) record of this species breeding in Agonis flexuosa was cited by Hawkeswood & Peterson (1982), and McMillan (1952) reported adults on flowers of Geraldton Wax (Chamelaucium uncinatum), Leptospermum and A. flexuosa and that the larvae breed in Agonis.
