Introduction
The genus Stigmaeus is known from Australia only on the basis of unidentified species, as reported by O'Dowd (1994), Noble et al. (1990, 1996a, 1996b), Longstaff et al. (1999), Kinnear & Tongway (2004), Vega et al. (2007) and Walter et al. (2009).
