• Spondylus occidens Lamprell, K. 1987 [1986]. Spondylus: Spiny Oyster Shells of the World. Bathurst : Robert Brown & Associates 84 pp. [Date published 1987: imprint date of 1986] [36, figs. 1a, b] [not G.B. Sowerby III, 1903].
