Melbourne : CSIRO Publishing, Australia xii 551 pp. (the Australian distribution for this species is based on the type locality of 'Sydney' for Sesarma similis Hess, and this is certainly erroneous; extensive field collecting across northern Australia has so far failed to recollect S. impressum; most probably it was collected from the islands of the south-west Pacific and sent to Hess via Sydney; however, as the northern coast of Australia is within the latitudinal range of the species, I will not yet exclude its possible occurrence)
