Introduction
This tropical species has been recorded from northern coastal areas of the Northern Territory and Queensland although it was also recorded from the Ovens Valley in Victoria by Trebicki et al. (2010). The name was treated by Evans (1966) as a synonym of S. festivus Matsumura but it is clear that Evans had misidentified the latter species. Evans (1966) figure of S. festivus appears to be S. foshoi Fletcher & Semeraro.

Tegmen hyaline with brown veins, dark on recurved Rs, R1a and R1b, and with brown filigree markings in larger cells, smoky in apical cells (Fletcher & Semeraro 2001).
