Type data:
Holotype SAMA ♂ (coll.: 10.iv.1966, N. McFarland, at ultraviolet light), 48 km SE of Adelaide River, South Australia.
Introduction
This tropical species is known from the far north of North Queensland and the Northern Territory although Trebicki et al. (2010) also recorded it from the Ovens Valley in Victoria.

Ecological Descriptors
All stages: phloem feeder.
Diagnosis
White with brown, black and orange. Face white with two dark brown to black fine transverse stripes across apex. Vertex white with two round black spots on front margin adjacent to eyes and connected to a short marginal black stripe extending toward, but not reaching, apex of head. Pronotum white with two obscure brown patches on midsection and indistinct orange marking medially at front margin. Scutellum white with two orange patches tending to dark brown at lateral margin. Tegmen whitish translucent with brown veins. Apcial cells smoky brown with darker spot in third apical cell. Cells white at level with apex of clavus and at midlength of tegmen and clavus, elsewhere with brown lacy pattern (Fletcher & Semeraro 2001).
Fletcher & Semeraro (2001) also described and figured the male genitalia.
