Introduction

Scagacola eddiei can be distinguished from the parapatric Terrycarlessia bullacea by the flatter shape, weaker spiral sculpture and in having a wider umbilicus.

Diagnosis

Shell medium-sized, yellow with darker streaks, subdiscoidal with low spire; protoconch smooth apart from some oblique striations at the end, teleoconch sculpture of weak radial ribs and scattered spiral grooves and wrinkles becoming more pronounced on the last whorl; umbilicus moderately wide, V-shaped; diameter 20mm.
