Type data:
Holotype (Thorpe was a student of W. Dakin, and the sample was probably discarded after Dakin left the University of North Wales).
Ecological Descriptors
Hard bottom, marine, sessile.
Systematics
The true identity of this taxon is unknown. The description says the colony includes spicules from numerous genera of sponges. It is definitely not a species of Sarcodictyon and the possibility that is a zooanthid should not be discounted.
