Introduction

Saladelos lacertina can be readily distinguished from S. commixta by having weaker spiral grooves, more prominent radial ribs and weakly impressed rather than channelled sutures.

Diagnosis

Shell small to medium-sized, yellow, subdiscoidal, with a flat spire; sutures weakly impressed; protoconch with weak spiral grooves at the end, teleoconch sculpture of strong curved radial ridges and weak, occasionally branched, spiral grooves and striae above, shiny below; umbilicus very wide, cup-shaped; diameter 11mm.
