Introduction
Saladelos is distinguished by the combination of spirally striate protoconch, teleoconch sculpture of strong to weak spiral grooves and very wide, cup-shaped umbilicus. Smith (1979) treated this as a monotypic genus with Saladelos hobsoni as the lone representative. Both Saladelos commixta and Saladelos lacertina were considered to be junior synonyms of this species.
