Introduction
This uniformly coloured, broad species with triangular vertex is widespread across southern Australia.

Ecological Descriptors
All stages: phloem feeder.
Diagnosis
Very similar to R. ingens but vertex shorter and more pointed apically. Length: 10 mm. (Kirkaldy 1906).
General coloration brownish yellow (dried specimens). Pronotum sometimes brownish, mottled with yellow. Tegmen hyaline or near opaque. May be distinguished from R. brevifrons by having the crown somewhat triangular in shape and, unlike R. brevifrons, the sides of the crown immediately in front of the eyes are not parallel with each other. Length ♂ 7–8 mm, ♀ 9–10 mm, of crown of head 2.8 mm (Evans 1966).
