Introduction

This small genus was created for two African species but Hamilton (1980) transferred four species from the Australasian region into it, one from Queensland and three from New Guinea.

Diagnosis

Body form typical for Macropsinae. Face as in Macropsis Lewis. Pronotum declivous, vertical anteriorly, striations oblique, anteriormost striae transverse, connecting calli. Tegmina with three preapical cells, tegminal veins usually spotted with white. Hind tibial macrosetae invariably 7. Male pygofers armed with prominent erect spine from each ventroapical angle; dorsal connectives variously shaped, with bases appressed or fused, armed on dorsal end with variously shaped processes; dorsal connectives articulating against upper margins of pygofers (Hamilton 1980).
