Type data:
Holotype NTM ♂ (coll.: 15.xi.1972, T. Weir & A. Allwood), Koongarra, 15 km E of Mt Cahill, Northern Territory.
Introduction
This species, known only from the northern parts of the Northern Territory, is quite distinctive in colour.

All stages: phloem feeder.
Diagnosis
This species can be distinguished by its small size (♂ 4.3 mm, ♀ 5.0 mm), medial longitudinal brown stripe on the pronotum, continuing onto the inner margin of the forewing, and the shape of the clypeus (tumid with sides nearly parallel) (Webb 1983).
