Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Colour as in R. napais (Kirkaldy) but abdominal tergites with a series of small spots each side of midline, with or without a larger medial patch. Male genitalia similar to those of R. leurensis (Evans) but aedeagus with posterior process longer and dorsal margin, in lateral aspect, onlly slightly sinuate medially. Length ♂ 5.0–6.0 mm, ♀ 6.0–6.6 mm (Webb 1983).
