Pyripnoa flammeola (Lucas, 1895) is here regarded a junior subjective synonym of Pyripnoa pyraspis (Meyrick, 1891) although the holotype of P. flammeola (Lucas) has not been located. Pyripnoa ignifera (Lucas, 1895) is here treated as a senior subjective synonym of Pyripnoa plumbipicta (Hampson, 1910), although syntypes of P. ignifera (Lucas) have not been located. In spite of Lucas (1895) listing of a male P. ignifera (Lucas), only females have been seen during the preparation of this Checklist. At the same time only males have been seen among some 23 specimens of P. pyraspis (Meyrick). Both P. pyraspis (Meyrick) and P. ignifera (Lucas) have the same distribution and have several times been collected at the same place and time. Here P. ignifera (Lucas) is considered a junior subjective synonym of P. pyraspis (Meyrick). The former representing the female and the latter the male)
