Also widespread in tropics. ("described originally from Illinois, USA, this Phlaeothripinae species has been described under six other names from Hawaii, northern Australia, Indonesia, Japan and several parts of South America (Okajima 2006, ThripsWiki 2019) (Mound 2019).
