Type data:
Holotype ASCU ♂ (coll.: 13-15.ix.1974, M.J. Fletcher), Pearl Beach, nr Sydney, New South Wales.
Introduction
This reasonably dark species is known from Pearl Beach which is near Gosford and about 35km north of Sydney and not "near Sydney" as given on the data label. The species was "named in honour of the late Dr T.E. Woodward, in recognition of his work on Australian Hemiptera."

Ecological Descriptors
All stages: phloem feeder.
Diagnosis
Robust species, transcephalic stripe absent. Aedeagal shaft upturned with a pair of short spines mounted preapically on anterior margin and a pair of long, narrow, dorsally directed spines extending from near posterioventral corner. Apical region of pygophore process spatulate in posterior view (Stevens 1994).
