Introduction

This beautifully marked species is only known from the holotype. It was "named after the late Dr J.A.L. Watson, in recognition of his dedication to the study of Australian Odonata and Isoptera."

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Transcephalic stripe absent. Apical arm of aedeagus undivided, apex subacute/rounded, bearing a pair of long thin spines extending from a common base. Pygophore process club-shaped (Stevens 1994).

Stevens (1994) also provided a comprehensive description and figures of the species.
