Introduction

This highly variable species is known from SE Queensland to the Clyde River on the south coast of New South Wales.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder (associated flora: Eucalyptus saligna Smith [MYRTACEAE]).

 

Diagnosis

Highly variable in coloration, although never with a distinct transcephalic stripe. Aedeagal shaft undivided, sharply bent, apex acute, gonopore preapical. Basal area of shaft with a single vertically directed filamentous spine. Pygophore process sinuate, apex downtumed. Second valvulae relatively stout, serrate region divided into coarsely serrate (distal) and finely serrate (proximal) areas (Stevens 1994).
