Introduction

This species was based on a series of specimens from SE Queensland and a single male from the Upper Hunter Valley of New South Wales. It was "named in honour of the late Dr V.V. Hickman, in recognition of his work in Australian arachnology."

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Transcephalic stripe absent. Aedeagal shaft undivided, stout, apex acute, gonopore subapical on posterior margin, with two elongate spines extending from ventroposterior corner. Pygophore process narrow, acute. Apical notch of paramere broad, acute basally (Stevens 1994).
