Holotype AM ♂ (coll.: i.1961, M. Wallace), Perth, Western Australia.
Introduction
This dark species is known from two localities in the southwest of Western Australia. It was "named in honour of the late Dr J.W. Evans, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the study of the Homoptera."

Ecological Descriptors
All stages: phloem feeder.
Diagnosis
Dark species lacking a distinct transcephalic stripe. Aedeagus with shaft broadly expanded in midsection bearing five processes, apical (unpaired) process spatulate in dorsal view. Paramere with a densely setose area on medial margin, pygophore process acute, apical area sharply directed dorsally (Stevens 1994).
